Born and raised near Chicago, in Elmhurst, IL, Mike became interested in jazz at age 12 after being introduced to George Benson by his guitar teacher at Perry’s Music in Villa Park, IL. In high school he performed the York High School Jazz Band, directed by Kurt Merrill which inspired him to pursue jazz guitar as a career.  He enrolled at Northern Illinois University, where he studied with Bobby Roberts and Fareed Haque. After earning a B.M. in Jazz Performance in 1991 Mike spent two years in Cincinnati, Ohio, spending many nights hanging with local guitar greats Cal Collins and Kenny Poole.  In 1994 he returned to Chicago and quickly became part of the city’s growing jazz scene.

Lindsay Weinberg is a lifelong performer with musicality deep in her bones. She brings a bright spark to the many projects she is involved in, her childlike exuberance balanced by a knowing glint in the eye.

Lindsay is a full time educator at the Old Town School of Folk Music, a teaching artist through Ravinia's Reach Teach Play program, and a solo performer for both kids and adults. In 2010 she was selected to perform as an up-and-coming artist in the annual 5x5 series at Théâtre Petit Champlain in Quebec, Canada. Since then, her music has taken her to stages in Chicago, Milwaukee, Seattle, California, Pennsylvania, and on a 6-city tour through Colombia. She fronts Lindsay and the Lights Go Out, presenting her original lyrical piano-pop, is a vocalist in the gospel-jazz powerhouse Come Sunday, sings in a jazz duo with guitarist Mike Allemana, plays keys with Conspiracy Theories, and has made recent appearances with Mr. Nick & Friends, Congress of Starlings, Mr. & Mrs. Wednesday-Night, Someone Old Someone New, Little Queens, Great Moments in Vinyl, and the Fly Honey Show. Past projects include the Cover to Cover series and podcast, in which three singer-songwriters present their own songs and cover each other's, and bands The Ye-Ye's, Lindsay & The Shimmies, It's A Girl, and Baba Manouche.
